Before I get into this post, I want to take a moment to thank you for reading this blog. It has been an awesome experience and if there is one important tip you need to take away from this post is that a blog is nothing without readers to support it and so I’d like to say “Thank You”.

I realize that this may sound like some kind of exit post, but give me a second and I’ll let you know what’s going on. Let’s talk about this key step for making money with your blog first.

When it comes to making money with your blog you can sell ad space, use google adsense  or promote affiliate programs, but you already knew that. However what I’m about to share with you can help you to connect with your audience and build a mutually beneficial relationship faster if you do it.

Do what?

Ask. If you’re familiar with email marketing, you may know that a successful email marketing campaign involves lots of interaction. It’s during this interaction that it’s important to ask your subscribers what kind of information they would like to receive and how they would like to receive it.

By asking your audience what they want and how they would like to receive it is critical to the overall success of your email marketing campaign and the responsiveness of your list. So what does this have to do with making money with your blog?

Glad you asked. In case you haven’t noticed, your blog is a lot like a list of subscribers and in order to really profit from your blog without annoying your readers it’s important to ask as often as you can how they would like to receive the information you’re providing and if there are specific things they would be  most interested in learning about.

By taking the time out to find out what your markets interests are you will be positioning yourself for greater effectiveness and profitability. So if you are seriously thinking about blogging as a business model, keep this step in mind so that you don’t end up spinning your wheels, wasting time and shooting arrows in the dark.

There are of course more things you can do to ensure the profitability of your blog, but I’m won’t be sharing those things here. You see as I’ve been fortunate enough to create an income from this site, I am going to be focusing my attention on a new brand and  a new blog. It is my hope that those of you who have enjoyed the information on this blog and would like to continue enjoying more will follow me to my new site.
