One of the great things about blogging is that regardless of how many websites pop up on the internet if you produce good quality unique content, you can still find your blog ranking well on the search engines and drawing visitors. However, what if you could boost an already powerful content management system to suck in higher levels of traffic?

In this article we’ll talk about how you can drive traffic to your blog with article marketing and give you 3 tips to ensure it’s effectiveness.

To get the ball rolling it’s important to understand that article marketing is still one of the most powerful ways to drive traffic to any website on the internet. Period.

However there are some guidelines that you need to keep in mind that will help you to use article marketing for maximum effectiveness. So let’s get into them.

Tip #1 Article directories are best suited for a formal writing style. When a visitors comes to an article directory looking for information it’s usually because they have a problem they’re looking to solve and your published article is a representation of your expertise.

If you are going to use any the previously written articles from your blog, it may be a very good idea to rewrite your content to better suit the visitors that come to an article directory.

Why?

Because blogs are more suited to an informal writing style and the majority of visitors that are coming to your blog are repeat visitors so they are a little more familiar with you and your manner of conversation.

Article directories feature “articles”, formal pieces of literature although not literary masterpieces that provide value to each visitor by supplying the needed information they are looking for in a coherent and logical way.

If you’re visitor has never visited your blog and their first contact with you is through an article directory, how would you like them perceive you and your business?

Tip #2 Post your articles on your blog and make sure to give free reprint rights to your readers so that you can maximize the mileage you can get from your articles. If you provide free reprint rights to your articles this will give your website even wider exposure as your readers may decide to use your content to populate their blogs.

With the link in your resource box pointing back to your blog on their site you are in position to exponentially increase the amount of traffic your blog will receive. In short, by offering free reprint rights in the bio portion of your article you’re giving yourself an opportunity to benefit from the power of viral marketing.

Tip #3 Social Bookmark Your Articles. Social bookmarking sites are very powerful when it comes to increasing backlinks and exposure for your blog, but what if you could throw a little nitrous oxide on your article marketing efforts by bookmarking your articles on your blog?

What if you were to bookmark your rss feed from the article directory itself that contains your articles? This could result in a serious spike in traffic and catapult your blogs rankings in the search engines tremendously.

3 Simple Ways To Get Free Targeted Traffic To Your New Blog

February 24, 2010 in Traffic Generation | Comments (1)

Thanks to the variety of new blogging platforms available it’s very easy to start a business on the internet. The part of the business that consumes the most time involves working to get free targeted traffic to your business fast. In this article I’m going to share 3 ways you can get free targeted traffic to your new online business quickly and easily.

The key to getting traffic is regularity but the most important component of your traffic is that it’s targeted. It’s not very difficult to get a lot of traffic to any site at  all, if you want to speed it up you can buy truckloads of traffic from various sources and crash your server if you want to but…

Getting a lot of traffic won’t do much for your business if the return on investment is higher than the actual cost to get the traffic in the first place.

So keyword research is a paramount activity that needs to be done in order to ensure that the people visiting your site are interested in the topic your writing about and are willing to spend money for more information in connection with your niche.

This leads us to marketing in watering holes where your clients gather to review, discuss and suggest their own preferences regarding specific needs in the market place.

One such place that you can find and interact with your target market is through forum marketing. By doing a quick search on Google for forums related to your niche market, you will be able to tap into the heart of your market and get a feel for what people are looking for, what they are spending money on and work at giving them more of what they already want.

It’s a good idea to find several forums that you can begin to develop a presence in and attract targeted clientele back to your site. The best kind of links to market are the type that lead readers to an optin form offering targeted information for free in exchange for your readers name and email.

By building a subscriber base you can easily notify your readers of new blog posts and double or even triple the amount of traffic to your blog without having to find new readers all the time.

Another way you can tap into your target audience is to find the most popular blogs in your niche and regularly leave comments on them. The key to making this strategy work is to leave real comments that indicate that you’ve actually read the post and make a meaningful contribution.

A good way to keep informed of new posts is to  subscribe to the authors newsletter so that eveytime there is a new article you can be notified and make your contribution. Some blogs use keyword luv and allow you to use a keyword in the name field to increase your chances of getting super targeted traffic however…

It’s not advisable to try and spam your links on these blogs because the majority of them are moderated (just like this one) and if you leave spammy comments like ‘nice post’ or ‘thanks for the advice, looking forward to your next post’, your comment will be deleted.

Last but not least another simple way to attract highly targeted traffic back to your blog is to go to Yahoo answers and look up questions related specifically to your niche and provide solid answers to the queries made by the targeted traffic you’ll find there. The key to not looking like a spammer here is to post a link back to your site in your profile.

You can post a link back to your site in the source section, but your site may not always be an appropriate source depending on the question asked, but you will generate a lot of interest in your profile based on your answers and with your link there, you will get a lot of targeted traffic back to your blog.

There are a whole lot more ways to get free targeted traffic to your new blog, but these should get you going and keep you busy for awhile.

It’s not how many traffic sources you use, it’s how effective you become at using the ones you choose.

Get More Traffic to Your Website With Highly Optimized Blog Posts

January 16, 2010 in Website Conversion | Comments (5)

Blogs are a very good and easy way to generate traffic and create your presence online. However if there is one thing you must have in order for blogging to be profitable for you and that is targeted visitors.

If you want to generate the kind of traffic that results in profits, you need the kind of visitors that are looking for exactly what it is your offering.

In order to attract highly targeted visitors from the search engines, it’s important that you pick keywords with a reasonable amount of searches and that are closely related to the content you’re providing in order to make money with your blog.

A big misconception out there is that so long as you have a blog with a lot of content on it and some banners or adsense, you will instantly start making money. This is wrong and unless you enjoy experiencing frustration (which I’m sure you don’t) you’ll do keyword research.

Keyword research is actually not as complicated as the keyword software producers make it seem, but it is crucial to developing content that pulls in sales.

Another way to optimize your blog posts is to follow the same rules you would follow if you were optimizing a page on a static website.

Use your keyword in your title, a couple of times in your post and don’t be overly concerned about keyword density. Just write like you talk and keep it simple.

Include your keyword in your tags as well as related keywords and believe it or not you’ll start getting the kind of visitors that will make your blogging worthwhile.

3 Tips to Make Money With Clickbank Using A Blog

December 26, 2009 in Blogging | Comments (6)

One of the easiest ways to make money with clickbank is by setting up a Wordpress blog, but just having a blog with a bunch of affiliate links doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll make money.

In this article I’m going to share three tips from my personal experience that can help you to make money with clickbank over and over again.

Tip #1 Provide useful information. If you want to build trust and credibility with your market it’s important to give them information they can use.

By providing useful content you are in effect feeding the initial motivation of your readers, which is to get more information about a particular problem or situation they may be facing.

With targeted and relevant content you will draw readers back to your blog frequently, which in turn exposes them to tip #2.

Tip #2 Advertise relevant offers. In order for your blog to be effective when it comes to making affiliate sales, such as the many offers that are available on clickbank, it’s important to make sure that what you’re offering is tightly related to the content on your blog.

If you’re content is focused on dog training and you find an offer on clickbank that can help a person to train their dog in 7 days or less, than you’re probability of making sales is high.

Tip #3 Put an optin form on your blog. Getting traffic to your blog and making sales is great, but if you want to get the maximum profit value from your visitors, place an optin form on your blog.

Now the truth of the matter is that you won’t get a million subscribers, but you will get some and this will give you an opportunity to keep in touch with your visitors.

You can send them emails letting them know when new information has been posted as well offer relevant clickbank products and bonuses.

Developing Your Self Confidence Online

December 14, 2009 in Internet Marketing | Comments (4)

There is a ton of information available online and it can certainly be a bit overwhelming, but there is something you need to understand about it that can help you to boost your brand and build your self confidence.

Are you taking information for the sake of learning something new or is it with the end goal of communicating with your market?

A lot of people get bogged down with trying to learn everything about the market they’re in only to know nothing at all. Often times people don’t give the information they’ve just received a chance to settle before they go buying the next package of information.

Before you start taking in all kinds of information ask yourself what the purpose of learning something new is and how will knowing this new information fit in to your purpose.

In the case of internet and affiliate marketing there is a glut of information out there, (enough to choke a horse actually) but if you were to break internet marketing down to it’s simplest level you would be left with three things:

1. Your product

2. Your sales letter

3. Your payment processor

Seems incredibly simple and when you break it down it really is. Yet many people lack the confidence they need to pursue such a simple model because they are on information overload.

So how can you fix this problem before you throw in the towel?

Before I answer that question let me just say this…

The only information that really matters is the information that comes from the market you’re in. Yes you need to learn some marketing basics, but if you never communicate with your market, you’ll always be lost as to what to sell, who to sell it to and how to sell it.

So the best action step I can give you right now that will help you to gain the confidence you need to build your online business and get you the information that matters most is to start a blog.

Start a free blog with blogger.com or wordpress.com and offer as much content related to your market of interest and monitor the way people respond. Don’t worry about if they will like you or not, you will get a favorable response if you post regular content often that offers useful information the people in your market can benefit from.

Post often at least once or twice a day and if you feel like you don’t know what to write about just look at what other bloggers are saying about whatever is going on in your market and write about that.

Visit article directories and type in your main keyword and you’ll have a host of information you can write about and share with your market. The key to getting the best results by doing this is to inject your personality into the content. Write how you feel, give your opinion and you’ll get a response.

The faster you start to do this, the faster you’ll start to develop your confidence online and the sooner you will be able to find out exactly what people are looking for.

In a coming post we’ll talk a little about how to use that information to create or sell products that will benefit your readers as well as drive traffic.

Effective Article Writing – Can You Focus Longer Than 300 Words?

August 30, 2009 in article marketing | Comments (1)

Tags: , , , , , ,

Have you ever read an insanely long blog post or article that you clicked away from before you reached the end of the article? What happened, was it the content? Was the quality of the article poor or do you just have a hard time concentrating longer than 300 words?

If you are going to write content for a living especially on a blog it’s important to remember that most people have a hard time staying focused long enough to read articles or blog posts longer than 300 words.

So this means that you have to write in short info blasts that get to the point and keep your readers coming back for more. Have you ever gotten an email that read like a short novel? Do you read every word or just skip right to the link or the P.S.?

What’s the first thing you think about the next time you get an email from that person? Nice guy, but the mails are too long. See ya. The same thing happens with blog posts and articles. If the posts or articles are too long than two things will happen:

1. Your reader will click away long before they reach your bio box in your article

2. After they read that epic literary masterpiece on your blog, they ain’t coming back.

Why?

They just don’t have the time. One of the things that the internet facilitates is speed. When you do a search online it’s because you want to condense the time frame needed to find what you’re looking for right away. It’s the same way with your blog readers, if you can give them short info blasts that satisfy a question that was on their minds… they’ll be back.

An upside to this is that you don’t have to spend hours writing one or two posts. You can break up your material into easily digestible and actionable chunks that will benefit your readers far more than an all out brain dump.

To your Effective Article Writing Success,

Nando
