If you want to make lots of money selling affiliate products online, then the affiliate review site method might just be what you’re looking for, but a word of caution before you get started.
Recommending affiliate products to your blog readers or email subscribers can be a very lucrative way to make a good living online however it’s important that the recommendations you make provide real value.
In the world of the internet, building your credibility is the most important thing you can do to ensure a long and sustainable business online. The caveat or warning for you is that if the product you’re recommending turns out to be trash, all the work you’ve put into developing your credibility can be greatly diminished in one fell swoop.
So how can you avoid that scenario? Simple. Buy the product.
Once you own the product you are in a much better position to determine based on your own experience with it whether or not it will help your readers and subscribers to build their businesses.
When you personally own and use the product you can spell out the advantages as well as the disadvantages. You can also tell what level of marketer would be better suited for it and advise accordingly.
Another advantage to owning the product is that you’ll be able to develop or locate products and services that you can use as bonus offers to encourage sales through your affiliate link.
The bottom line is that if you want to build buyer confidence in your recommendations, owning the product and sharing your results or findings will go a long way in building your credibility with those you sell to in your market.
An easy way to accomplish this is by creating a simple review video, showing your prospective customers the download area. I’m not saying to show them the product, because that would just defeat the purpose and get you into legal trouble, but you can show them the page where the download links are give a brief synopsis of what the product does and what can be expected.
You can use a simple screen capture program like Jing to make your videos and upload them to Youtube or your blog.
Selling affiliate products online using the affiliate review site method or by creating video reviews is a powerful way to generate easy affiliate commissions provided your reviews are based on real time data from your own experience.

Ever respond to one of those sexy looking ‘freebie offers’ only to find out that once you’ve taken the time to jump through the hoops, there’s a fee and a sneaky little paid subscription offer deeply embedded in the fine print?
I don’t know about you, but whenever I come across those situations it irritates the heck out of me. If your gonna put up a Free offer on your blog or whatever, then make it Free.
Now there’s nothing wrong with advertising a paid offer on the same page as the freebie, at least I have the option of choosing to ‘tack that on’ versus being forced fed something that I wasn’t particularly looking for.
The worst part about forced continuity is that it’s predicated on the fact that you’ll forget the expiration date of the subscription before your credit card gets banged for a monthly subscription fee.
There are two sets of thoughts that you have to deal with when you participate in one of these deals:
1. The nagging effort you have to put forth to remember the expiration of the ‘Free trial’ that looms in the back of your head. This is an unnecessary stress to deal with while you’re attempting to consume the product.
If you’re not in a relaxed enough state to take in the information, than the information will have little to no value. Time and money wasted.
2. The nauseating sensation that accompanies the surprise charge you forgot all about on your credit card bill. The first the thought that screams in my head is “da**it!” And the next course of action is you immediately begin scrambling to find the cancellation information.
Been there done that.
I’m not saying that you can’t have a monthly subscription to a service or newsletter, but when you bury that away in what is supposed to be a free offer, than your credibility and the credibility of the internet marketing industry takes another blow. Making it harder and harder for newbies with hopes of making it online to get over the initial fears that are already associated with doing business online in the first place.
So to sum it up, Forced Continuity Is Crap!
