Developing Your Self Confidence Online

December 14, 2009 in Internet Marketing | Comments (4)

Tags: , , , , ,

There is a ton of information available online and it can certainly be a bit overwhelming, but there is something you need to understand about it that can help you to boost your brand and build your self confidence.

Are you taking information for the sake of learning something new or is it with the end goal of communicating with your market?

A lot of people get bogged down with trying to learn everything about the market they’re in only to know nothing at all. Often times people don’t give the information they’ve just received a chance to settle before they go buying the next package of information.

Before you start taking in all kinds of information ask yourself what the purpose of learning something new is and how will knowing this new information fit in to your purpose.

In the case of internet and affiliate marketing there is a glut of information out there, (enough to choke a horse actually) but if you were to break internet marketing down to it’s simplest level you would be left with three things:

1. Your product

2. Your sales letter

3. Your payment processor

Seems incredibly simple and when you break it down it really is. Yet many people lack the confidence they need to pursue such a simple model because they are on information overload.

So how can you fix this problem before you throw in the towel?

Before I answer that question let me just say this…

The only information that really matters is the information that comes from the market you’re in. Yes you need to learn some marketing basics, but if you never communicate with your market, you’ll always be lost as to what to sell, who to sell it to and how to sell it.

So the best action step I can give you right now that will help you to gain the confidence you need to build your online business and get you the information that matters most is to start a blog.

Start a free blog with blogger.com or wordpress.com and offer as much content related to your market of interest and monitor the way people respond. Don’t worry about if they will like you or not, you will get a favorable response if you post regular content often that offers useful information the people in your market can benefit from.

Post often at least once or twice a day and if you feel like you don’t know what to write about just look at what other bloggers are saying about whatever is going on in your market and write about that.

Visit article directories and type in your main keyword and you’ll have a host of information you can write about and share with your market. The key to getting the best results by doing this is to inject your personality into the content. Write how you feel, give your opinion and you’ll get a response.

The faster you start to do this, the faster you’ll start to develop your confidence online and the sooner you will be able to find out exactly what people are looking for.

In a coming post we’ll talk a little about how to use that information to create or sell products that will benefit your readers as well as drive traffic.

The #1 Reason Why People Won’t Buy From You…

May 18, 2009 in Blogging, Email Marketing, Internet Marketing, affiliate marketing, making money online | Comments (1)

Tags: , , , , , , , , , ,

I’m going to tell you the #1 reason why people won’t buy from you and you probably may scoff at this but that’s even more reason why you need to listen up. Ready? The #1 reason why people won’t buy from you is because…

You ain’t selling anything to ‘em.

Now you’re probably wondering what the heck that’s about, so let me tell you. It’s about wondering why nobody’s clicking on the links on your blog. Why nobody’s clicking on the links in your email. It’s because you ain’t selling anything. What do they have to click on?

So what if you do have some links up and nobody’s clicking? That’s a good indication that you might need to find out what you’re markets’ interests are. Once you know what they want to buy than you can go ahead and sell it to them. Now before you go getting all jacked up over this, hold on a second…

You’ve heard all the talk about building relationships with your list and readers and so and so on. Good stuff, makes sense… however…

When was the last time someone at Burger King greeted you at the door and handed you a freebie to get you to buy a meal? When was the last time you went into any major franchise and got the royal treatment? Why did you go to the store in the first place? Wasn’t it to buy something?

The reason why you go to a particular store to begin with is because you know they’ll have that specific thing as well as related items that you’re looking to buy.

So what this means is that you need to find out what market is looking for what you have to offer or vice versa and become the retailer that sells it to them. The fact of the matter is this… if they don’t buy it from you, they’ll buy it from someone else. And that doesn’t make you any money.

No money, no business. One last point and we’re done. If you want to build real relationships with your email subscribers and blog readers, tell the truth.

What is the truth? The truth is you’ve started building a list to make money, you’ve started a blog to make money and neither will be successful if you beat around the bush about it. At least your subscribers and readers will know up front that you’re not trying to pull some hypnotic selling tactics on them.

Be up front and that will build the trust your looking for. If you want to know what they want to buy… ask them.

Here’s something to remember… “Nothing happens, until somebody sells something”.

Well that’s my diatribe for the day.

To your marketing success,

Nando

P.S. You don’t have to bomb your list with offers ten times a day, but if you don’t make any, than where’s the value of being on the list?

Make Money Blogging: Why It Won’t Happen For Some People

April 28, 2009 in Articles, Blogging | Comments (1)

Tags: , , , , , , ,

With the amount of blogs that exist and are being created daily, it’s any wonder that someone could make money from a blog at all. However what this illustrates is just how vast the online market really is.

When I think about this I’m reminded of a small area where I live, that has a ridiculously high concentration of automotive repair shops. These guys are literally on top of each other and yet somehow each one of those shops makes money every day.  A large portion of those shops have been there for years.

An Important Realization That Needs To Be Made…

If you want to make money blogging, it’s important to realize just how vast the market is on the internet. Every day there are more people just starting to use the internet, more schools are teaching via the internet than ever before, more companies are becoming more digitally inclined as they look for ways to stay one step ahead of the competition and the list goes on and on.

Case in point, my wife works for a small masonry company that has been in business for fifty years and they don’t even have an internet connection. So let’s talk about why some people won’t make money blogging.

Don’t You Need To Be An Expert?

One big misconception is that you need to be an expert about something. While this may be helpful, it won’t be the thing that motivates you when you don’t feel like blogging.  So what do you need?  Passion.

If you have a passion for the subject matter you’re discussing, you’ll take the time to find out what you don’t know and eventually you’ll end up becoming an expert. Having a passion for your topic will give you the audacity to speak your mind, regardless of what others think.

A Word About Reading Other Peoples’ Blog’s…

Another reason why some people won’t make money blogging is because they are too busy reading everybody else’s blog and not blogging themselves. You can read other blog’s, but if you’re not going to agree, disagree or whatever than there is nothing to monetize.

The Dreaded Fear Of Monetization…

Fear of monetization is another reason that keeps people from seeing any ROI with their blogs. There’s this big fear that maybe your visitors won’t like you because you offered them something related to the subject matter that they were already interested in?

It may be helpful to look at it this way; when you’re visitor stops by your store (blog), there was already a level of interest, especially if they visit more than once. So offering products related to their interest can serve as a way of increasing the value of your blog to your visitor.

But Someone’s Already Done That…

The, it’s already been done before mentality. Comparing yourself to another more established blogger is o.k. if it serves as a positive peer pressure to increase the quality of your posts and offers, but it will kill your enthusiasm and dampen you creativity if you are trying to be just like them.

Are You A Wal-Mart Blogger?

Lastly, don’t be a Wal-Mart blogger. I have nothing against Wal-Mart in fact I think they have a secret $100 cover charge, because every time I walk in there, I can’t walk out without spending $100 bucks. Anyway, if you’re blog is going to cater to every possible market at large, then you’re going to need  Wal-Mart traffic.

And unless you have the advertising budget to get that kind of traffic, you’ll never see any real dollars from your blog.

Well, guess what? This post is finally over. Whew! Keep tightly targeted to your passionate interests, speak your piece and provide a means of monetization that adds value to your visitors. Before you know it, you’ll make money blogging.

Affiliate Marketing Business: The Value Of Relentless Promotion

in Articles, Traffic Generation, affiliate marketing | Comments (1)

Tags: , , , , , , ,

Non-stop marketing is the name of the game when it comes to building your affiliate marketing business. As an affiliate marketer you are essentially a salesperson for the merchant or company you represent.

The only way you get paid is if you are constantly promoting products and services to their respective markets. Relentless promotion online is necessary in order to break through all the noise, distractions and competition that bombard consumers on a daily basis.

Relentless Promotion, What’s Involved?

Some of the most successful affiliate marketers are relentless promoters. They will do everything possible to gain the widest exposure in order to keep the products and services they are promoting in front of you.

While there are a few marketers that come to mind, one that stands out in particular is Mike Filsaime. Now Mike doesn’t know I’m writing this and I ain’t getting paid to say it, but the fact is that there aren’t too many places you can go within the internet and affiliate marketing niche, without running into his name.

Your Daily Goal Should Be…

So what does this have to do with you? If you want to have tons of traffic flooding your affiliate promotions than you’ve got to exercise as many avenues of promotion as you can, over time. Everyday should begin with the goal of widening your reach in your market.

Take into consideration products like Coca-cola or Sprint, Motorola and others. All of these companies relentlessly promote their products on a daily basis as this gains for them market share and mind share.

Mind Share? What’s That?

By gaining mind share in your market, you are in effect branding your products and services on the minds of your consumer market. What eventually begins to happen is that whenever someone thinks of a particular subject or topic, your name or brand becomes the thing most closely associated with that topic or subject.

The worse fate for any marketer is to fall into the category of  “out of sight, out of mind”. How many times have you eventually forgotten about something because you didn’t see it for awhile?

The Value For You…

So the value of relentless promotion in your affiliate marketing business rests with your ability and determination to promote your websites, products and services as often as you possibly can to make an indelible mark on the minds of your market.

To Your Ultimate Success,

How To Make Money With Affliate Marketing When You’re Broke

in Articles, affiliate marketing | Comments (1)

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

That seems like a rough headline eh? How to make money with affiliate marketing when you’re broke. The truth is 99% of marketers who get started with affiliate marketing are broke. That’s why they got started.

What Do You Mean?

Let me clarify what I mean by broke besides the obvious. If you’re not making enough money to pay the bills and put money in the bank… you’re broke.

If you’re making a killing on your job, but your expenses are larger than your income… you’re broke.

If you are making a good living and putting money in the bank, but you don’t have any time left over to enjoy life and spend quality time with your family… you’re broke.

And lastly, if you’re so stressed out that you can’t make time to build a business online with affiliate marketing… you’re really broke.

So how can you make money with affiliate marketing if you’re flat broke?

It all comes down to three things:

  • A Plan
  • Work
  • Discipline

First things first. You need to make a plan. Nothing too exotic, because if it’s too involved, you ain’t gonna do it.

Second, you need to work the plan. No plan will execute itself, so roll up your sleeves and get ready to do some work.

Third, you will need to stick to the plan in order for it to work. No training will work without the discipline needed to see results. You have to be willing to train yourself to succeed. This is the most crucial component to making money online.

Here’s the work. You’re going to produce content, like you’ve never produced content before. You will write articles and blog posts. If you haven’t built a list, you need to start now and you’re going to write short articles for your autoresponder series.

Care To Elaborate?

So let’s put this together. Once you’ve decided on the market you’re interested in and put your blog or website together, now you’re going to need to fill it up with content.

Then, you’re going to have to write more articles to get visitors to your website or blog. Now understand something, this works, but it takes a consistent, day in and day out effort for it to happen. You won’t see any returns if you just write 10 articles and never do another thing. You gotta go for it and block out all the distractions around you.

It works, it ain’t pretty, but it works. Fill up your autoresponder with at least 5 or 6 articles spaced out about 3 or 4 days apart. This content is for the people who choose to optin to your newsletter. Every other day or two after you’ve written the first few articles, add another article to your autoresponder series.

This will help you to build a relationship with your market and set the stage for future sales opportunities. Like I said before, it ain’t pretty, but it works.

In due time you’ll start making some money, as a matter of fact, when I stopped buying every last ebook and program out there and just focused on doing this, I started seeing commissions within my first two weeks. But that’s me, you may or may not see the same results, it depends on how hungry for success you are.

Well sorry for the long winded post, I hope it was helpful.

Easy Way To Make Money On The Internet: Resale Rights

April 26, 2009 in Articles, Internet Marketing | Comments (10)

Tags: , , , , ,

There are many ways you can make money on the internet. Some ways involve a bit more time and attention than others but an easy way to make money on the internet is by selling resale rights products.

Resale rights products give you the opportunity to make money without creating your own product, yet you get to keep 100% of the profits. In addition to the profits, you get to put your name on the sales letter which gives you an opportunity to brand yourself as well.

Be wary of trying to sell resale rights products that are worn out and are low quality. When picking a resale rights product to sell make sure that there is a market for it. Make doubly sure that you understand what your right are with that product before attempting to sell it at all and keep those rights handy in case you have to produce them.

To make your resale rights products standout from the crowd, you can offer related bonuses in the form of guides, audio and video to make your offer more enticing and unique.

Overall resale rights can cut down on the amount of time it takes to build your credibility and make money online.
