For starters when it comes to creating a presence on the world wide web, one of the first things you’ll need is a website. Your website will be the place that visitors will be able to go in order to review your products and services.

There are plenty of free website generators that you can use to establish your business without the hassle of having to learn html and graphic design. Many of these platforms feature what are known as blogs, which are easy to use content management systems that give you the ability to edit and maintain your site without having to pay someone else to do it.

Along with these free blogging platforms you also get to choose a domain name related to your business, although the suffix of your domain will consist of the name of the blogging platform itself. However if you’re looking to get your feet wet with internet marketing without getting burned, it’s a great way to get started learning the basics.

When it comes to attracting visitors to your site you’ll need to figure out how to increase your sites visibility in the search engines. This involves learning search engine optimization. Search engine optimization involves creating websites that have content made up of keywords that searchers use to find what they are looking for.

If you’re site contains enough of the right keywords and related content, the more likely the search engines will position your site on the first two or three pages of the search results.
