In the previous post the topic was focused on niche marketing and the tremendous amount of money that’s on the table right now. This time we’re going to talk about the rabid and rapidly growing ‘make money online’ niche.

At last count there were 202,000,000 websites competing for the term ‘make money online’ with 16,400,000 optimized and 665,000 allintitle. Do you know what all that means?

There’s a lot of money floating around out there and all you’ve got do is find a way to get in the middle of it all. You don’t even have to be on the first page of Google to get a piece of that pie (although, it certainly doesn’t hurt).

You just need to be in the game.

Whether you are an affiliate marketer or internet marketer in general, all you need to do is identify pockets of profitability within this market and target your efforts accordingly.

The hottest part of the make money online market centers around the affiliates themselves. Here’s the scenario in case you haven’t “smelled what the Rock is cookin”.

The vast majority of affiliate marketers today represent the miners who came to California during the gold rush. The marketers who are turning a ridiculous profit are the ones who are selling the shovels for the affiliates to use to mine the gold, when they themselves in fact, are the gold.

Still with me?

So what does this mean for you? You’ve got to start selling shovels, my friend and let the miners do the work for you.

How do we know what shovels to sell?

Well, what does every affiliate need in order to mine the gold?

Traffic.

There are tons and tons of methods that can be used to get traffic and each of  these represents a niche and consequently sub niches in the make money online market. There’s…

Search Engine Optimization

Viral Marketing

Blogging

Video Marketing

Article Marketing

Podcasting

Social Powerlinking

Social Networking

and so on, and so on.

So what am I saying here? You need to stop buying the shovels and start selling them. That’s why so many people don’t make any money in the make money online niche. If you’re having trouble finding your target market in this niche, it’s because… you’re the target.

Start selling the shovels. Got it? Good.

Happy shovel selling,

Nando
