Internet marketing is not as easy as some make it out to be, but…

It does present the average joe with an opportunity that might not otherwise be available through traditional channels. The dilemma that arises as a result of pursuing this avenue of income is knowing who to follow or what direction to go in.

Try or Cry?

If you’ve been online for any length of time, you will notice that there are a million launches happening every day. Maybe an exaggeration but close enough. To add to the confusion, you may receive a product recommendation from a marketer who may have sold his own product to you.

The product recommended may not have anything to do with the one you just bought. It’s easy to get frustrated and assume that this is an attempt to keep you confused and chasing your “long tail”.

In some instances regarding marketers who have made a reputation for crying wolf in connection with the latest product launch this could be the case.

However for the majority it is more a matter of offering choices and doing business as an information marketer. The question is do you try to work through the noise to get the best return on investment as per your decision to buy the product or do you look for any opportunity to cry about what you think someone is trying to do to you?

It’s sooo easy…

It’s so easy to get caught up in the opinions and contentions of individuals who would rather spend time crying over a glass of spilt milk instead of just cleaning it up and moving on.

Some of these little tirades serve more as distractions than directions and will easily bite into your profitability and chew off your enthusiasm.

Become successful with internet marketing

Internet marketing is not for everyone. It takes steel-willed determination and focus to make it work. Not everyone is cut out for that kind of work. For some it’s easier to work in a 9 to 5 corporate environment where it’s easier to “pass the buck” when things go wrong.

Becoming successful with internet marketing will ultimately be as a result of blending a collage of methods and tactics together to find the system that works for you. The distinguishing factor will be as a result of the action you take.

Determine your committment level, put together a plan of action and move on it. Assess your results, make adjustments, and take more action. Continue to duplicate the process until you have designed your own well oiled system that brings in profits like clockwork.

This is where the truly great products, coaching programs and profits come from.

Once you’ve been at it for awhile you’ll soon realize that your success with internet marketing will not come as the result of one product or person, but it will be the result of learning a little bit from each one and designing your own style.

Have you ever read about people that just buy stuff just to buy stuff? It’s like the thrill is in the purchase. The new product is so shiny and brand spanking new.

The excitement level is high and it almost seems as if the anticipation is more exciting than the actual product itself. The emails are coming fast and furious as every big name on the planet is promoting this “new thing”. It’s like a big party to celebrate the amount of money the merchant is making and for just a moment you’re invited.

Wow, it’s just so awesome and to think you might actually make a few bucks too, if you do this stuff. Then when you can’t take it no more you finally go ahead and buy the darn thing, crack open the new toy and all of a sudden… the excitement is gone.

Guess what? This thing ain’t going to work by itself. You know what that means… you gotta learn how to use it. Oh no. I didn’t sign up for that.

This is the case of most product junkies. They just live for the excitement of the launch and the possibility that this next product will just magically cause their clickbank account to go into ’tilt’ like an old pinball game. When it doesn’t happen, it’s off to the email inbox to see what else is going on to get excited about.

You know what? Even the crappiest of products out there will yield some results if you put forth the effort to make it work. It’s true. You can take one method of traffic generation and work it til it bleeds and make some money. The trouble is most people don’t want to hear that.

If you’re an info product junkie the only way to break out of the vicious cycle of running up your credit card is to take action. Take action on something and just keep taking that same action over and over again. Eventually you will begin to enjoy the benefits of your hard work when your efforts begin to compound themselves.

You can succeed if you want to. If you want to then you will do what you have to.
