Sifting Through The Crap and Finding The Truth

There is so much information online about how to make money online that you could spend hours going from one product to the next and still not get the information you need to justify the amount of time you’ve spent on your quest. In addition to the time, there’s the amount of money you’ll spend as well. So what should you do?

First of all when it comes to turning your computer into a money making machine, there has to be a realistic level of expectation that has to be established before you do anything.

If you are acquainted in any way with the time and cost associated with starting an offline business, you’ll also be aware of the fact that brick and mortar businesses like a McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, 7 Eleven or even your local mom and pop hardware store don’t start out in profit.

Often there is a considerable amount of time that will go by where in most cases there are negative gains for at least the first 1-5 years. If you’re able to break even in your first 1-2 years you’re actually doing pretty good, but that’s not the majority.

So if you’re seriously thinking about establishing a business online it’s important to come into it with the right mentality and perspective.

Having the proper understanding with regards building an internet business whether it be as a product vendor or affiliate will help you to get past one of the biggest problems in the internet marketing world and that is… false and unrealistic expectations.

Now having said that, the good news is that it doesn’t take that long to build a solid business online as long as you’re going about it from an entrepreneurial perspective.

You see, most people are o.k. with what I just said a moment ago until…

They come across all of the promises of instant riches and profits that many salesletters are filled with. Once they see this all logic goes out the window and after their first try they end up getting sucked into a money pit that involves spending dollar after dollar to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Here are some realities that you need to understand and come to terms with if you want to build a real business online that will afford you the freedom of going full time and quitting your job.

1. No matter what product you buy with the exception of software for automation purposes, any system you choose to work with will always involve a need for traffic. Without traffic you don’t have a business, I don’t care how nice your website looks or what kind of copy you have on it, if nobody is looking at it… then it’s just another painting hanging on a wall in an art gallery.

2. You have to learn how to communicate with your target audience in order to provide any service of value. Think about it… if no one is looking for what you’re offering… you can forget about traffic.

3. You must establish your brand and build a following that will loyally support that brand. O.k. so you’ve got this great website up offering a widely sort after service or product that your target is willing to spend their money on but, there’s one problem…

You’re not the only game in town.

So now you’ve got to be able to distinguish yourself from other businesses that sell the same product, because if you don’t then you’re never going to acquire the needed amount of traffic to produce the sales and revenue that it will take to sustain your business.

At this point as you can see making money online is not some ‘brain dead anybody can do it’ type of business… it’s business.

So here’s what I’d like to do…

I want to create a comprehensive product that will help individuals to set up an internet business that will put them on a path to success within 6 months to a year. I’m not going to resort to any hype or b.s. because there is already enough of that available as it is, but I would like to ask for your help with this project.

If you were going to create a product that would teach individuals how to build a real business online…

a) What important information would you include in it?

b) What format would best suit the needs of those who buy it? (Video, pdf, audio, all of the above)

c) What would be a reasonable price point to go with so that the product is not devalued but relatively accessible to your audience?

d) Would you create a membership site or sell it as a stand alone product?

I have personally had the good fortune of being able to build a business online and generate a good 4 figure income that is steadily increasing and I would like to help others minus the hype to start their own business on the right foot and actually make money with it.

So if you could help me out with the questions above, I’d like to send you a couple of exclusive reports I’ve just created to show my appreciation.

I look forward to reading your responses and thanks so much for being a reader of my blog.

Sincerely,

-Nando

The One Thing You Don’t Need In Order To Write Traffic Generating Articles

If you want to generate a truckload of traffic to your site with article marketing there are a few things you might want to do, but there is one thing you don’t need in order to write traffic generating articles.

Effective article marketers have managed to develop the ability to write articles that follow a simple formula and then use that formula over and over again to generate massive traffic.

The formula is simple and it’s not anything that you haven’t heard of before, but it’s often overlooked due to the overflow of information regarding article marketing.

It’s the A-I-D-A formula. Sound familiar? Remember what the letters stand for?

Attention. Interest. Desire. Action.

If you can follow this simple formula when you sit down to write your articles than you will consistently be able to move your readers to take the action you want them to take.

So if you write your articles following the simple AIDA formula, the one thing you don’t need to is to be a world class writer.

You don’t have to sit down and crank out literary masterpiece after literary masterpiece in order to effectively generate the kind of traffic that would cost someone a small fortune in pay-per-click to get.

As a matter of fact if you can get in the habit of writing your articles by following this simple formula, you’ll actually be able to write them faster.

So often you hear about Clickbank as being the best place for newbies to get started but if you really want to clean up profit wise with Clickbank you need to…

Create your own infoproduct and setup an affiliate program.

As a product vendor you have access to tens of thousands of potential affiliates who would be more than willing to promote your quality product.

Imagine having an army of people you don’t know and will probably never meet promoting your product. We’re talking about thousands of other people investing their time and resources into advertising and promotion for little ole you.

This is where the truly BIG money is made with clickbank, not that promoting as an affiliate doesn’t bring home some nice strips of bacon, but if you’re looking to take your income to the next level…

Start thinking about creating your own infoproduct and letting others sweat over the traffic.

That’s it for today… short and sweet.

Affiliate Marketing Success Is Not About Becoming A Salesman

If you look around the web you’ll see all kinds of articles that give a definition for affiliate marketing success and to a certain extent that should be expected but…

If I had to boil it down to one specific skill that would make or break your ability to make good money with affiliate marketing it would have to be…

Preselling.

Knowing how to presell your visitors to an appropriate offer is the hinge upon which the door of profitability swings. You can develop a real nice looking site and get all the traffic in the world, but if none of the visitors who come to your pretty site buy anything than all that work you just put in to get that traffic is wasted.

The art of preselling is interesting because it’s a combination of selling without making a sales pitch. If you try to hardsell your visitors on your products, they won’t bite, but at the same time if you never sell to your visitors they’ll get snippety at the first sign of a pitch. It’s like being in a rock and a hard place.

So what can you do? Learn the art of the presell. A skilled affiliate marketer doesn’t try to bop you upside the head with an offer. The best way to go about developing your ability to presell is to become a customer in your own niche.

If you take some time to walk in your prospects shoes you’ll have a better understanding of what his/her needs are and how to approach them.

Increase Website Conversion: Will More Traffic Increase Website Conversion? Maybe… Maybe Not

There are a ton of people out there with the mistaken assumption that if you just drive more traffic to a losing offer you’ll make sales. Well first of all you have to consider the offer… is it targeted to the right people? Is anyone even interested in the offer itself? If this is the case what can you do to increase website conversion and beef up your bottom line?

How frustrating it can be when you spend a  good amount of time doing everything you can to get visitors to your website to the point of almost pulling your hair out to make a sale and nothing happens. It almost makes you want to quit sometimes doesn’t it? But you know better than that so you keep at it and still nothing. What gives?

As I mentioned earlier perhaps the offer is not targeted to the right people. If you’re targeting PPC products and services to an SEO crowd I don’t think it’s going to work out to good. The same could be said for targeting list building products to an adsense crowd, somehow your conversions may not be what you’re expecting.

Now that was just one area you might want to consider, you may also want to look at the sales copy on the site your promoting. The product could very well be spectacular but if the sales letter only draws yawns and question marks the likelihood of seeing any conversions will be minimal at best.

In addition to the sales copy not pulling the way you need it to, there’s also the possibility that you’re selling the sales page before your prospect gets to the sales page. It’s important to presell or soft sell your prospets so that clicking on your affiliate link seems more like a good idea in their minds versus a high pressure pitch from you.

More traffic is not the answer for a weak offer and if you want to drastically increase website conversions that will take your internet business to a whole new level of profitability check this out.

SEO Optimization For Long Term Traffic, But What if…

Search engine optimization is without a doubt a very powerful way to get a ton of traffic to your website. In fact individuals who have been able to harness the power of the search engines to build their online businesses have done quite well. But what happens when the Big ‘G’ or any of the other search engines change their algorithms?

Ask your adwords masters or your squidoodlers what happens… they’ll tell you. It’s for this reason you should have a backup plan in effect, as a matter of fact you should have several. There are many different ways to get traffic to your site but if all of your eggs are in one basket, than what?

If you have a relatively small enterprise online, than it won’t matter to you if seo optimization rules change, but if you’re bringing $10 or $20k a month from your seo efforts, you won’t be too happy if your traffic suddenly disappears because of a change in algorithms.

Put some more eggs in your basket.

To Your Traffic Success,

Nando
